* 1947 and thereafter On 10 th Oct. 1947 the Sikhs were declared a tribe of cruel dacoits and looters (Jraem Pesha Kaum) by the so called iron man, the Home Minister Mr. Patel of free India and they were to be maltreated under a secret circular to all the Deputy Commissioners.

* Bhai Bidhi Chand Ji In early years of life before coming in contact of Guru Sahib, Bhai Bidhi Chand was a thief. His maternal village was Sarhali, a village in District Amritsar. The village was notoriously called as ‘Sarhali of thieves’. He got this bad habit at the instance of bad elements while being at Sarhali.

* BABA BANDA SINGH BAHADURHe was born in October 1670 in a Rajput family doing farming in village Rajouri, district Punch, State of Kashmir. He was named Lachman Dev. As a child he was very fond of horse riding, martial art, hunting and was expert in use of bow and arrow and other weapons used in wars at that time

* Time period at Anandpur Sahib and Chamkaur Sahib Coming back to history, number of times Aurangzeb sent his Generals, to confront Guru Gobind Singh but failed. At last in the winter of 1704 AD Aurangzeb ordered to attack Anandpur Sahib with about 10 lakh combined forces of Delhi, Punjab, Kashmir, Afganistan, the Pahari Rajas and other states. It is a long history.

* 1738 to 1760 AD It was a time of terror for the Sikhs. The Sikhs started hiding themselves in forests of Rajasthan and nearby areas. Prizes were paid for killing Sikhs. It was as if the Sikhs were not to die of natural deaths, and their blood was meant for sacrifices only. The Sikhs started fighting gorilla war but never killed innocent persons.

* Singh Sabha Moment of 1873 Kanwar Dalip Singh, born on 1838 was the youngest son of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. In 1849 Maharaja Dalip Singh was crowned the next king of the Sikh kingdom which was practically already under British rule.

* 1760 to 1849 AD In 1769 Nadar Shah son of Ahmad Shah Abdaali, attacked India and imprisoned hundreds of Hindu women. The Sikhs same way attacked his army, saved the women and sent them to their homes under protection.

* TAKHAT SRI DAMDAMA SAHIB (Guru Kashi)TAKHAT SRI DAMDAMA SAHIB, Talwandi Sabo, Bhatinda, is the fifth seat of the authority of Sikhs. This place owes its importance to the literary work of Guru Gobind Singh Ji done here during his stay in 1706.

* Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji After the Sacrifice of the 9th Guru of the Sikhs, the 10th Guru, Guru Gobind Singh took charge of the Sikh masses in 1675 AD and like his grand father the 6 th Guru, Guru Har Gobind, he took to arms.
